We need our volunteers to step up in person to bring the holidays to those who so appreciate our efforts. We visit local assisted living facilities and present an interactive program for the residents. For those of you who make this a regular part of your volunteering, you know how worthwhile this program is. Those of you who have never participated before are in for an unbelievably heart-warming experience.
We are always thanked in so many ways by the residents: for bringing comfort to so many who might have no other way to celebrate; reminiscing with them about this important part of Jewish history; to bring back their memories of previous holidays shared with loved ones.
