WORK WITH A DEPARTMENT
Work on a departmental level is generally done on a per-project basis where NCJW can leverage
your passion and skills to benefit a particular project.

  • Advocacy- focusing on human trafficking, reproductive choice, immigration reform, gun safety, and other issues in the US and Israel
  • Communications - publicity, section emails, flyers, social media, website
  • Community Service – see  the many services we provide listed below
  • Events – several large and smaller events throughout the year
  • Membership – involvement, recruitment, and retention 
  • Programming / Hospitality – for general program meetings


 JOIN AN EVENT PLANNING COMMITTEE  

  1. WELCOME BACK BRUNCH - October
  2.  ANNUAL LUNCHEON and BOUTIQUE 
  3.    MAH JONGG & CARD PARTY LUNCHEON 
  4.  SPRING EVENT
  5.  PROGRAMMING FOR GENERAL MEETINGS  
        3-4 meetings- Arrange for a speaker and coordinate logistics
  6.  SUMMER PROGRAMS  -  Help plan two to three summer activities


BE A COMMUNITY SERVICE VOLUNTEER 
Do you prefer to do your community service in an ongoing way or on a per-project basis? 
These opportunities will be right for you. 

  1. Kids Community Closets at local elementary schools
        Help stock clothing and supplies for emergency donations

  2. Jewish Family Services -  We partner with various JFS departments such as the Rales Food Pantry; We have packed food and hurricane supplies and Rosh Hashanah meals;  We volunteer in many support areas.

SHORTER TERM:Do you have limited availability but would like to get involved here and there?
These opportunities might be right for you

1. Holiday on Wheels

          Visit elder care facilities as a group to celebrate Rosh Hashonah, Chanukah, and Passover

2. Preschool Vision Screening-   Active in January and February

3. Scholarship Awards committee for Jewish Leader of Tomorrow Awards

          Help review and select scholarship award winners in April
